Seberang Jaya is a new
township near Butterworth,
Penang, Malaysia. The state
Immigration Office and
Malaysian
Road Transport Department (JPJ) is situated here.
This
township is served by two hypermarkets, Carrefour and TESCO Extra
(formerly known as Makro). There are also two major shopping malls,
Megamall Pinang (Anchor Tenant: Pacific Mall) and Sunway Carnival Mall.
The two
main higher learning institutions located in Seberang Jaya are Universiti
Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Penang branch and Politeknik Seberang Perai (PSP).
