Cheras is a bustling
suburb that stretches from the outskirts of
Kuala Lumpur to
Kajang in the state of
Selangor, Malaysia. It hosts a
large number of housing estates and shopping malls and is well connected
via highways and trunk roads.

Batu 9 Cheras (English: 9th Mile, Cheras) is located here too.
Cheras is one of the six sub districts (mukim) of Hulu Langat under the
administration of the Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (Kajang Municipal
Council). In the 2000 census, the subdistrict had a total population of
163,550 covering an area 59.31 km2 making it the subdistrict with the
highest population density.
Cheras
hosts several LRT stations. On the LRT Seri Petaling Line, the Cheras
station is located in Jalan Ikan Emas and Maluri Station is located in the
busy road of Jalan Cheras.
Masterskill College of Nursing and Health, one of the largest nursing and
allied health college in Asia Pacific is also located here.
